WHO WE ARE
Living and Balance Wellness Center is a behavioral health organization serving youth, adolescents, adults, and families across Phoenix, Mesa, and Glendale. We are a Center of Excellence for Transition-Age Youth. Our Mesa office is brand new and actively accepting students right now.
THIS IS NOT AN OBSERVATION PLACEMENT
From day one you are part of the care team. You will work with real clients. You will run groups. You will sit with hard moments and celebrate real progress. You will leave here more prepared than most graduates.

WE KNOW YOUR PROGRAM

GCU: Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling
-
Your program requires 700 hours total. We support your full sequence without you changing sites.

ASU: Master of Social Work
-
Your program requires two placements of 480 hours each. We can serve as one or both.

ASU: Marriage and Family Therapy
-
Your program requires 300 client contact hours over 12 months. We offer that continuous placement.

NAU: Advanced Standing MSW
-
Your program requires 450 field education hours in one year. We make that work.

UArizona: MA Counseling
-
Your internship spans two semesters with 600 hours and 240 direct contact hours. We cover the full sequence.

All Other Accredited Programs

Bring us your handbook. We work directly with your coordinator to meet your specific requirements.

PLACEMENT DETAILS

Minimum 6-month commitment. We prefer 9 to 12 months for client continuity.

10 to 20 hours per week based on your program

Afternoon and evening availability required

Some daytime helpful for school-based services

In person only. Mesa is our primary location. Phoenix also available.

AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required. In process is fine.

TB test and drug screening required before start

Valid driver's license or photo ID required
WHO WE ACCEPT
We welcome students at every stage.

Master Level Clinical Internship
-
For students in accredited Master's programs. We accept practicum, Internship I, and Internship II. Work directly with clients across office, school, home, and community settings under licensed supervision.

Programs we welcome: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Master of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, School Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology and related fields.

BSW Undergraduate Field Placement
-
For Bachelor of Social Work students completing field hours. Community-based and school-based placements available. Approximately 6 to 8 weeks and 80 hours. Contact us to discuss your program requirements.
